Nerf Herder:
Nerf Herder may be better known to most as "that band that does the Buffy theme" ... and, well, you'd be right. They've been touring the UK for a while now, and while they've gone to do some European promotion for now, they're coming back in the middle of July. So take your chance and go see them!

Ghost of the Robot:
James Marsters' band played sold out gigs in Edinburgh, London, Liverpool and Newport and have moved on to the rest of their European tour known as a sell-out success in the UK.

Four Star Mary:
The band behind the music of Dingoes Ate My Baby returned to the UK at the beginning of June for another tour of the UK. Another *whirlwhind* tour, I might add, playing nine dates in ten days before heading home again.
Now, before I go any further, I've gotta confess that a mixture of bad planning and my laziness prevented me from seeing any of the above bands, other than Four Star Mary. But boy, were they worth it. Playing a mixture of music from their albums Thrown To The Wolves and Welcome Home, they're always worth a looksee. Pain is always one to wait for with bated breath - yes, 'that one from the Buffy soundtrack', as is Rio, if they do it, which seems to have become something of a live favourite. And if you're wondering, yes, I am talking about the Duran Duran song.
Next time they're in the country, which apparently could be a while, all you Brits should check them out. And if they play shows near you all in other countries? Go! Go now!
