Sydney lay in bed, staring at Vaughn. She couldn’t believe how fast things had gone … only a couple of days ago they couldn’t even be seen in public together, and tonight, he was lying in her bed, staring back at her with the same grin on his face that she could feel on her own.

“Well, that’s definitely one way to relax!” Vaughn laughed. Wrapping an arm around Syd, he shivered a little. “I’ve waited so long for this. You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met, you know that?”

Sydney blushed. “You’re just saying that.”

“Am not. You know what else? You’re the best partner I’ve had since I started at the CIA.”

“Now I know you’re just saying it. You worship the ground Weiss walks on!”

Vaughn laughed. “It’s true. I’m actually in love with Weiss – you’re just to last me til then.”

Smacking him gently on the chest, Syd grinned again. “Well if that’s true, mister, you can think of a different way to unwind after a long,” she kissed his chest. “… hard,” she kissed again, moving further down. “...day at work.”

Vaughn closed his eyes and stroked Sydney’s arm with the arm that still lay around her. “I think I quite like this way, if it’s all the same to you!”

Syd chuckled, and sat up. “You know what I need? Chocolate.” She reached over into her bedside cabinet, and pulled out a giant bar. Grinning at Vaughn, she broke off a square and handed the bar to him. “Good for energy,” she smirked.

“Are we going to be doing something I’m going to need energy for?” he joked as she nestled her head on his chest.

“If you play your cards right, we are,” she laughed.

Vaughn broke a square from the chocolate and held it out towards Sydney. “Want some?”

As Syd ducked her mouth towards the chocolate, Vaughn pulled it away, put it in his own mouth and moved his face into the path of hers for a kiss. Bursting out into a peal of laughter, Syd sat up and straddled Vaughn. “Now that’s just cruel.” Kissing him again, she smiled. “Mmm.” She licked her lips. “I could get used to this.”
